Review of The Gift of Life
I read with interest “The Gift of Life” by Keily Adey. As a senior Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and infertility consultant, I was intrigued by the effect of infertility and miscarriage from a patient perspective.

In her book the author used notes from her diary and personal accounts of her life to describe details of her long journey and struggle with infertility. It depicts her determination to achieve a family. She describes the heartache, the physical, psychological and financial stress that she and her husband Paul had endured; through their journey of repeated miscarriage, infertility, IVF treatment and natural conception following IVF. She also speaks candidly and compassionately about her experience when told there was a possibility of giving birth to a child with special needs. I highly recommend this book to anyone, especially those who deal with couples experiencing infertility or recurrent miscarriage.
